Embassy of Pakistan along with Embassies of Azerbaijan, India, Kazakhstan and Turkey celebrated Nowruz Day in Addis Ababa. More than 400 people from various walks of life including nationals of various counties celebrated the first ever held Nowruz festivity. Ambassador of Pakistan H.E. Shozab Abbas planted a tree and recited the poem of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. National songs were played on Tabla and musical instruments. Traditional Pakistani food was also served to the participants. Nowruz marks the first day of spring and is celebrated as the beginning of the new year by more than 300 million people all around the world especially in Central and South Asia.
