Pakistani souvenirs and food, displayed at Pakistan Embassy stalls, garnered immense admiration at the annual Diplomatic Charity Bazar in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Saturday 18 Nov 2023. The Diplomatic Charity Bazar was organized by Diplomatic Spouses Group Ethiopia for charitable donations. Addis Ababa is the diplomatic capital of African being home to African Union and UN regional office and 140 Embassies. The Bazar thus attracted over 10,000 local and foreign visitors.

Pakistani souvenirs and food, displayed at Pakistan Embassy stalls, garnered immense admiration at the annual Diplomatic Charity Bazar in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Saturday 18 Nov 2023. The Diplomatic Charity Bazar was organized by Diplomatic Spouses Group Ethiopia for charitable donations. Addis Ababa is the diplomatic capital of African being home to African Union and UN regional office and 140 Embassies. The Bazar thus attracted over 10,000 local and foreign visitors. Over 30 Embassies including the Pakistan Embassy set up their stalls in the Bazar to showcase their exquisite products. The two Pakistani stalls displayed a wide array of elegant Pakistani products viz home decorations and textiles, Handicrafts, Himalayan salt lamps, pashmina shawls, footballs, carpets, as well as confectionery, dry fruit and dried mangoes. Pakistani products won immense praise and interest from both foreign and local visitors. Many local traders showed interest in importing Pakistani products. Pakistani footballs, camel skin lamps, Himalayan salt lamps, textiles, and confectionery (flown in fresh) sold out like hotcakes. The visitors also liked new products like dried mango, which has been introduced in the Pakistani market recently. The spouse of the Ambassador and other ladies, assisted by all the officers and staff, organized and helmed the stalls. Pakistan Embassy was also able to sell all items raising substantial funds for charity. Availing the opportunity, the embassy also projected Pakistani culture at the cultural show on sidelines of Bazar. Pakistani youth won a warm ovation for their lively dance performance over enthralling Pakistani national and pop music.
